PROV is developing policy to determine recordkeeping implications of new technologies or legislation, providing direction for Victorian government agencies on best practice records management.
Each policy developed is first circulated as an Issues Paper to provide an opportunity for stakeholder input and to show an indication of the direction and recommendations PROV are proposing. After the consultation period is completed, a formal Policy document is drafted and issued.
Policies may impact on other products issued by PROV, including the Recordkeeping Standards. Where this may occur, the Issues Papers will identify the products concerned and the likely changes.
