The Kelly Story

A short version of the story of Ned Kelly, with links to documents that the story is drawn from can be found in the left hand menu. These pages will help you understand and explore the events of Ned Kelly’s life.

You can also explore a selection of  documents by place.  This is a map of North-East Victoria where most of the various incidents of the Kelly Outbreak took place. The shaded sections indicate higher ground. By the 1870s, most of the lower-lying ground had been surveyed and marked out for selection. Selecting the various towns will give you access to documents associated with these areas.
