The PROV Appraisal and Documentation Team invites stakeholders to review a new draft Retention and Disposal Authority (RDA) for Building and Plumbing Regulation Functions.
The aim of the RDA, once issued as a Standard, is to specify records required as State Archives and to provide for the lawful disposal of records not required permanently after specified periods.
About this draft RDA
This Retention and Disposal Authority has been developed in consultation with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA). It is to provide coverage for records created as part of the building and plumbing regulation functions.
Agencies covered under the scope of this RDA are the Victorian Building Authority and its related statutory bodies.
The RDA is arranged by broad functions. The functions are:
- Registration and Licensing Management
- Compliance Management
- Regulation Management
Feedback on the draft RDA
The draft RDA is available below, along with a brief report outlining the background, scope and appraisal recommendations:
We would appreciate feedback on the following:
- are the retention periods reasonable?
- is the language used in the RDA clear enough?
- can you identify any gaps in the RDA coverage?
Please provide any feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org by COB Friday November 29, 2019.
