This series contains minutes of the Executive Council, which reconfirmed Kelly’s death sentence, three times after his trial in meetings held on 3, 8 and 10 November 1880. Note: The capital case file in the Kelly Historical Collection - Part 2 contains deliberations including notes from trial Judge Sir Redmond Barry, part of the petition by Kelly’s lawyer David Gaunson and letters by Kelly seeking clemency.
