Officially known as: Consumer Affairs Bureau
Following the establishment of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs (VA 1026) in 1974 the Consumer Protection Bureau (VA 2735) was replaced on 1 January 1975 by the Consumer Affairs Bureau.

The Bureau operated as an independent administrative unit within the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

Following an administrative arrangement in 1983 the Consumer Affairs Bureau was abolished. It was superseded by various divisions of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
