Select Committee on the Airport

The Committee was established on 9 July 1935 to inquire into and report upon the question of the most suitable site for an airport for Melbourne and matters appertaining thereto, including the area required for such a site.

The report of the Committee was tabled in the Legislative Council on 20 August 1935.

The Committee recommended the airport be located at the Eastern site at Fisherman's Bend.
