Correspondence received by the Education Department from Domestic Arts (later Girls' Schools) throughout the State is filed in this series. Correspondence dealt with such matters as requisitions for school supplies and the forwarding of accounts for payment; teachers' appointments, examinations and payments of salary, evaluation by Inspectors and leave; the granting of school holidays; copies of newspaper cuttings about the school and publications by the school; requests for interpretations of Departmental policy; parent and/or community complaints; requests for special assistance or staff and regular returns required by the Education Department.
