Function / Content
This record series comprises programs of, and invitations to, major civic events. The records relate to civic events conducted by the City of Geelong West. The programs and invitations have been adhered to folios in two large lever arch folders. This record series includes lists of mayors and councillors for the duration of the municipality. It includes also a list of social functions conducted by the City of West Geelong from 1954 to 1993. The records have been appraised as permanent in accordance with the Local Government Records General Disposal Authority (PROS 98/01 Version 2002, Class 2.3.1.How to use the records
These records are not available at Public Record Office and are available through the Geelong Heritage Centre, 51 Little Malop Street, Geelong.These records have been serialised as part of the PROV Distributed Network Place of Deposit program. Geelong Heritage Centre has been approved as a Place of Deposit for permanent value municipal records for the region under s14 of the Public Records Act 1973.
