This is an artificially created series.The P1 consignment provides access to the Melbourne Metropolitan Planning Scheme (MMPS), IDO Maps; Amendments and Revocations Maps located in VPRS 16157 and the PS Amendment Maps located in VPRS 16155.
The P2 consignment, Index to Planning Scheme Maps provides the Planning Scheme Area Map Reference Number, a single number, 1 to 96, or a four digit imperial series number, or, two numbers, metric series number, e.g., 97-3.
The P3 consignment contains a list of Exhibited and Approved Amendments to the Metropolitan Region Planning Schemes 1989 to 1998.

May be used to access MMPS and IDO Modification maps located in VPRS 16157.
2. List of Amendments to Melbourne Metropolitan Planning Scheme, Sequentially Numbered, 1 to 529; 1968 to 1988, refer to pp. 39 to 60A.
May be used to get the Planning Scheme Amendment map number for PS Amendment maps located in VPRS 16157.
3. List of PS Area Maps affected by each Amendment, 1968 to 1988, refer to pp. 122 to 139.
If you know the Planning Scheme Map Number for the municipal area, e.g. the area of Preston is identified as map number 44, you can refer to the List of Area Maps affected by each Amendment.
If you do not know the Planning Scheme Map Number, refer to the Index to Planning Scheme Area Maps (photocopy), located in the P2 consignment of this series.
The list may be used to access the PS Area Maps attached to PS Amendment Maps located in VPRS 16157.
