Cards are held for the various ledger of the Department, i.e. Creditors ledger, Revenue Ledger, Rent and Royalty Ledger, and Expenditure Ledger.

Cards are arranged by financial year for each account type. Some ledgers, e.g. the Expenditure Ledger, are also arranged by a three number account number.

All types of ledgers include the running "job cards" documenting each posting, and "master control cards" summarising total amounts for the year for different items.

Master Control Cards record : date, item, ref., total, balance.

Job Cards record : date, posting, medium, ledger no., name (creditor/debtor), pick-up, amount, total.
