Function / Content

This series was used to allocate correspondence registration numbers to inward correspondence located in VPRS 967 and further registered by subject in VPRS 12678 Register of Inwards Correspondence. The printed numbers correspond with the annual single number of the piece of correspondence, whist the written numbers give the folio (or page) upon which the piece of correspondence was registered in VPRS 12678.

In 2001 as part of the ARAD Project VPRS 966 was reserialised as described in the table below,

How to use the records


Consult the Records Description List for the unit containing the information for the year required. If the annual single number of the correspondence is known, the second number gives the folio (or page) upon which the correspondence is registered in the Registers of Correspondence (VPRS 12678)

Recordkeeping system


Each volume was used for a calendar year. Printed consecutive numbers were used as the annual single number as each piece of correspondence was registered. The written number gives the page of the Register of Inwards Correspondence upon which the details of the registration are recorded.

The registration numbers would appear to have been allocated chronologically by the date of receipt of correspondence.
