For transfers of permanent physical records to the custody of Public Record Office Victoria (PROV), Victorian Government agencies must ensure that the records have been physically prepared and packed appropriately.

Records such as hardcopy papers, files and cards should be packed into acid-free boxes which comply with the National Archives of Australia’s archival quality requirements.

While PROV does not endorse any particular company, the following list of commonly used archival suppliers is provided for the convenience of agencies.
