In 2021 we were pleased to launch a new online record ordering system on our website. The new system has been used for all North Melbourne record ordering ever since, and rolled out to include Bendigo last year. We are now pleased to add Ballarat records to the system! What does this mean?

Any researchers wanting to view records from the Ballarat collection at the Ballarat Archives Centre have been using our old ‘Access the Collection’ system for record ordering. But from 31 January 2023 users will be able to order these records for Ballarat through our new online ordering system, making ordering and managing record requests a whole lot easier.

Please note some changes to our services in the lead up to the launch:
•    Ordering of Ballarat records will be unavailable from 19 to 30 January.
•    The Ballarat Archives Centre Reading Room will be closed from 23 January to 30 January to allow for the system changeover. We will re-open on the 31st of January 2023.

Go to our ‘Where to Start’ page to find instructions on how to use the new system.
